Brown,
Listening to you
being interviewed this year for the National Writers Series by Rich Fahle in
Traverse City, Michigan, was a treat. It is available on YouTube for fans to
enjoy.
Looking out
into a sea of people you instructed, “Every one of you should have something
you love that isn’t reasonable.”
To
simultaneously entertain and enlighten is a gift. A sprinkle of self-confidence
adds charm. As you quoted your mother, “Rita Mae, often wrong, never in doubt.”
You later said,
“If you can make people laugh, I think you’ve done a lot.” Yet, you have
brought us more than humor, far too much to mention.
