1/28/16 RMB Reset

1/28/16 RMB Reset

Dear Rita Mae Brown,

There are times when one wishes to hit a reset button, to start over, to begin again with a clean palette. Pause is the only button available in a life partially lived. And that’s okay, because if you begin again, with a clear palette, then all those hard won lessons learned would disappear in clearing out the past.

So we take a deep breath, deep enough to swallow the moment. Clear our thoughts and look anew at the playing field.

Solutions appear, friends lend helping hands, and we charter a revised course.

Onward we go,
Loraine

1/19/16 RMB Words and Time

1/19/16 RMB Words and Time

Dear Rita Mae Brown,

Loose Lips is still my book of choice to retreat to as the world twirls ever faster, one day practically tripping into the next. It is taking longer than normal for me to read it because I am savoring life in another time and place, in a town full of wild characters, some outrageous antics and heartfelt moments.

Our California weather has turned drippy. Storms last a couple of days or more. That’s news here.

My writing calls, but words are scarce and time is short. I will find words and place them in fitting order. I will make time from spare fractions of hours that I find, as I comb through my days. And when all is said and done, there will be a bit more of my two cents worth of wisdom, by fiction, fantasy, or in observance of our topsyturvy world.

Happy 2016,
Loraine
