Animal Farm
Dear
Rita Mae Brown,
I
checked out George Orwell’s Animal Farm on CD hoping for some
insights. Many of us read it in school, but his words hit home with more impact
when absorbed as an adult. The insights it had were of the path that leads
downhill, not the one I search for that will raise us up.
Where
is that story?
Then
I thought of all stories, of all struggles, of all lives, and in the end it is
the caring that overcomes the tragedy. That is the light that outshines the
darkness.
When
my nephews have an idea, I tell them to check in with their heart before they
carry it out. The heart reveals the best of choices. It awakens awareness of right and wrong.
There
is more than one story to a better tomorrow, each of us has our own. Moment by
moment, day by day, alongside one another, we will find a better way.
Better
together,
Loraine
I love your positivity--keep it up--and yes, I believe it too!
